​Mu Rho Zeta History

Epsilon Upsilon Zeta was originally chartered in the early 1960's. Sorors Ruth A. Travis, Beatrice Neely, Anne Elam, and Annie Bowman were among the original charter members. From all accounts, the chapter was actively functioning throughout the early 1970's.

Mu Rho Zeta chapter was chartered on February 6, 1984 in Akron, Ohio.
Mu Rho Zeta chapter remained active within the Akron community until the late 1980's. The chapter was reactivated on January 11, 1992.
​
Since 1992, Mu Rho Zeta chapter has continuously served the Akron area and surrounding communities including the Canton and Youngstown areas. The chapter continues to uphold this legacy by "embracing Finer Womanhood through commitment to maximizing each member's strength, while continually striving to have a positive impact on our community and beyond through Scholarship, Service and Sisterly Love.
